What do worktop edgebands stand for and why to use a dedicated product for a premium worktop finish?
The kitchen worktop is where intense work takes place. With daily bustle, it is easy to scratch or dent. At the same time, the worktop replacement is complicated and expensive. This is why a kitchen top should not only be beautiful and matched to the furniture, but also resistant and durable.
In case of the edges, particularly exposed to intensive use, this task will only be fulfilled by truly a professional finish.
Worktop edgebands are a professional product designed to provide a spotless and durable finish of worktop edges. They are distinguished from furniture edgebands by two important features.
Firstly, their decors are specially designed for the typically long and wide edge of a worktop. The characteristic details of woodgrain or stone pattern have been distributed with less repetition than in furniture edgebands, thus achieving a harmonious and authentic appearance.
However, the most important advantage of dedicated worktop edgebands is their particular mechanical resistance. Thanks to a special surface processing technology they feature an increased resistance to scratch and minor dents.
As a result, a beautiful and durable worktop may be enjoyed for many years!

The polymer laminate surfaces RAUVISIO cube bring the concrete effect into interior design in a simple and flexible way. Lightweight and workable with standard woodworking tools, the REHAU surfaces are hardly distinguishable from real concrete, both to the eye and to the touch. Thanks to natural air pores (cavities), each panel is individual and unique in its surface structure, making every piece of furniture one of a kind. More resistant to scratches and breakage than the original material, as well as to water and steam, the RAUVISIO cube surfaces are available as a pressed large-format panel with an MDF core in the dimensions 2,760 x 1,220 x 19 mm and in six different colours ranging from classic shades to warmer, more natural trends. A solid concrete slab look is created by applying a 45° chamfer, with the matching RAUKANTEX pigmento edgeband pigmented in the milling radius. The harmonious combination with RAUVISIO surfaces and RAUVOLET roller-shutters in matt-look offers endless combinations for monolithic, pure, and minimalist interior designs.

Less material, less CO2-emissions and less waste
The advantages of Greengridz®:

Less material
A patented grid system provides a lightweight construction. Depending on the thickness of the Greengridz® 60-90% less raw materials are required than traditional solid furniture panels.

Less CO2
The CO2 emissions during production and transport are even 60% lower than, for example, with plywood. Because of the light weight, less fuel is used during transport, while 50% more volume can be transported.

Less waste
Less material also means less waste. Because the panel consists of various upcycled residual flows of natural cellulose fibers, it is biodegradable. On the waste management standard, the Lansin's R ladderk, the lightweight construction panel scores at the highest level. Refuse, simply because more material is no longer needed to make a strong furniture construction.
But Greengridz® strives for 100% waste-free. That is why we make new ones from old panels. This reuse completes the circle. Circular means no waste!

Healthy
The Greengridz® composite wood portions are TSCA Title VI/CARB compliant, which means that it is a safe product for the living environment. This means it meets the highest requirements when it comes to volatile organic compounds (VOC) such as formaldehyde. The construction panel thus makes an important contribution to a healthy working and living environment.
