The FGR kitchen appliance is designed to facilitate separation and disposal of inedible food parts. This innovative appliance is installed in the kitchen cabinet beneath the sink, seamlessly integrating with the sink drain and sewage system. The appliance automatically separates food waste, water and oils, providing a streamlined waste management solution.

Within the device, there are designated compartments: one for food waste and another for waste oils. The food waste compartment is sufficiently sized to accommodate food waste up to 14 days, while the oil compartment requires emptying just once every six months. This feature significantly reduces the time spent managing waste in your home.

The Val Duron panel is crafted from reclaimed old spruce beams, once part of the load- bearing roofs of ancient homes. When not in use, the sockets are located where they should be - under the surface of the desk. When they are needed, a light press on the rounded, stainless steel square brings up two plug sockets, or a plug socket and fast charger.

It's ideal for kitchens because it can be inset into any uniform material so as to sit flush with the work surface, or into wall-mounted cabinets, leaving the work surface clear and much-needed plug sockets close to hand.

The design of the unit ensures that even if a large quantity of liquid were spilled over it, only a small amount would get through and drip vertically past the socket and out below the counter.

The approach to this project was certainly nonconformist, far from the limits and traditional associations, but rethinking and re imagining the conventions and use of this object. Simple and clean lines converge to form a minimalist whole. Visually light and essential, "K" is an object with an innovative and ingenious design, but above all with great functionality that allows different ways of fixing and use.

At interzum in Cologne, Lamello AG from Bubendorf, Switzerland, has scooped up the coveted interzum Award in the category "High product quality" with the new P-System joining system LC P-16 for lightweight panels.
