Fire Retardant Multicolor system, suitable for ceilings, walls and interior furnishing, on flame retardant MDF. Classification: B-s1, d0 in accordance with standard UNI EN 13501-1:2019 (UNI EN 13823:2014 - UNI EN ISO 11925-2:2010).

Edges

Karebant PVC edgebands are produced in two systems; extrusion and calendaring. Despite the fact that two different types of production are used, the individual color and pattern consistency is concerned between thin and thick edgebands. Apart from our standard range, we have the possibility to match the colours desired by our customers in a short period of time.

Karebant can produce in any thickness between 0.20 and 2.50 mm and at any desired width.

Karebant PVC edge bands are produced with the best technology in today's conditions and they are in harmony with the colours of panel manufacturers in the market.

For sale since 1980, Samarium Cobalt was the first magnetic material to revolutionize electric motor performance.

In fact, it provides a magnetic flux around 5 times greater than traditional materials like ferrite or alnico. It does not need any protective coating since, unlike Neodymium, it does not oxidize.

Samarium Cobalt is basically made up of a lot of pure cobalt, and this is why its price is particularly high. Moreover, Samarium Cobalt is very fragile, but it has the positive characteristic of being able to resist temperatures of up to a 250° C without undergoing any significant variation in power, and it is for this reason that, many years after the advent of Neodymium, this has continued to be used.

With the appearance of new Neodymium gradations that are resistant to high temperatures, Samarium Cobalt has been less in demand by clients worldwide, who have preferred to use Neodymium since the cost is significantly lower.

During the pricing crisis of 2011, many users went back to buy Samarium Cobalt because Neodymium prices had increased so much as to render Samarium Cobalt even more attractive. This situation only lasted for a few months.

The prediction is that in the future, barring any absurd spikes in Rare Earth prices, the production of Samarium Cobalt will gradually and constantly decrease.

New Planet finger protection for doors with Dr. Hahn door hinge 4 AT

Richterswil, July 2024 - ASSA ABLOY (Schweiz) AG is expanding its Planet finger protection portfolio with the FSA 8800 series for swing doors. The innovative fastening technology for efficient planning, quick installation and clean appearance is now also available for doors with Dr. Hahn 4 AT door hinge.

Installing a professional finger guard prevents injuries when closing doors and is an effective measure to increase the safety of people. With the hinge-side cover profile FSA 8800 for doors with roller hinges, diameters 18, 20 and 22 mm, Planet offers a series in the well-known finger protection range that is characterised in particular by low planning and installation effort. The time-saving handling does not compromise on safe functionality and high dimensional accuracy. There is good news for customers of the German door hinge manufacturer Dr. Hahn, as a variant specially designed for the 4 AT door hinge is now also available.

Cover profile FSA 8800 [S30]: Screwless, secure and elegant
In terms of simplicity, safety and elegance, the new FSA 8800 [S30] cover profile is in no way inferior to the other profiles in the series. While several aluminium profiles have to be screwed together in other systems, a screwless plug-in system consisting of only one profile is used here. Even without further specialist knowledge, this well-thought-out design can be used to efficiently secure doors within a few minutes and ensure that the finger protection system fits perfectly in the hinge axis. An optionally available positioning gauge ensures that the adhesive foot can be applied very quickly and precisely on the bottom side.

Smart design for long-lasting simplicity
Even after installation, the smart design ensures the simplest handling over the entire product life cycle. If adjustment on the hinges or other subsequent work on the door element is necessary, the protective profiles can also be removed without tools and then reattached. Since Dr. Hahn offers the 4 AT door hinge with pivot points up to 36 mm, ASSA ABLOY also has an additional profile for special hinges with increased pivot point in its finger protection range. This can be fastened without drilling with a glued and subsequently adjustable clip holder. The FSR 6000 finger protection roller protector, which is also designed for quick installation and is ideally suited for use indoors and outdoors, is recommended as a suitable solution for securing the opposite hinge side on the secondary closing edge.

ELEKTRA establishes subsidiary in the USA

Light for the American market
ELEKTRA has now established a subsidiary in Wilmington, North Carolina, making its high-quality lighting systems available to customers in the USA. The company will thus be able to supply local furniture manufacturers and shopfitters with flexible, intelligent and sustainable lighting solutions.
With perfect timing in advance of the KBIS trade show in Las Vegas, ELEKTRA has decided to open a base in the USA. "We've been looking into the idea of directly serving our customers in America for a long time; the furniture manufacturers and shopfitters there have a great need for innovative, reliable lighting systems," says ELEKTRA's Managing Director Boris Niessing. The lighting experts from Enger therefore knew that it was time to serve this market on the spot through a local subsidiary. An advantage is that the American team has the know-how required for meeting country-specific requirements.
The team in Wilmington, North Carolina will serve manufacturers and distributors as of beginning 2024. Besides an office building, it has an external warehouse to facilitate fast deliveries. Additional distributors will help ELEKTRA to ensure reliable service. "We opted for Wilmington because the region is the home of many kitchen installers and shopfitters," says Niessing. "We want to serve this market and tap into its potential."
